Apple’s upcoming Apple TV wireless set-top box appears to be taking a new dimension by allowing users to play games.

After the latest release of iTunes (7.1), users noticed that its resource files show an Apple TV Games syncing feature.

The following are all iTunes strings relating to game syncing:

“4309.161″ = “Are you sure you want to sync games? All existing games on the Apple TV “^1″ will be replaced with games from this iTunes library.”

“4309.162″ = “Are you sure you do not want to sync games? All existing games on the Apple TV “^1″ will be removed.”

“4309.163″ = “Syncing games on “^1″…”

According to MacScoop, “^1” is a variable which is replaced by the name given to the Apple TV device.

Apple TV has been delayed from February shipping to mid-March. A shipping date of Mach 20 is indicated on most pre-orders of the device.
