Microsoft and Yahoo merger discussions have fallen through according to the Wall Street Journal, a report relayed by MacNN.
It is reported that neither company has encountered the common position needed in order to join forces despite both sharing the same concern about Google’s lead in Web marketing and search.
However, the two companies may still explore other ways of cooperating in the future.
